"The Harlem Shake is an Internet meme that went viral on YouTube in February 2013. The meme is in the form of a video that began being replicated according to a similar concept by many people.

The art form of the meme was established in a video uploaded on February 2 by The Sunny Coast Skate, five teenagers from Queensland, Australia.

The videos last 30-something seconds and feature an excerpt from the song "Harlem Shake" by electronic musician Baauer. Usually, a video begins with one person (often helmeted or masked) dancing to the song alone for 15 seconds, surrounded by other people not paying attention or unaware of the dancing individual. When the bass drops, the video switches to the entire crowd doing a crazy convulsive dance for the next 15 seconds."

"Whether it’s that purple vase your sister-in-law got you, or that particular coffee-pad-loving coffeemachine (you know the one) that’s been lying in the basement for ages; everybody owns items that are no longer of value to them. Every now and then we throw out these items, while they still might be of value and/or useful to others. These items disappear in grey garbage bags and end up on trash piles. Goedzak offers these items a second chance. Goedzak stimulates people to dispose of their products in a more conscious and sustainable way. Goedzak can extend the products’ lifetime."

Happy New Year to you all!
Hope all your plans for this year will be realised. I am pretty excited about 2013 and am sure this will be a terrific year.

I noticed online that lots of people are working on their personal time capsule of 2013: a 2013 jar. In there they will collect notes with all the positive things that they experience throughout the year.

Great idea! I will do the same. Next to that I will start up the visual time capsule for 2013. Looking forward to that.

Now lets make this year count.

		<description>A visual time capsule is a co-created historic cache of images, intended as a method of communication with future people.

Posts run by us so quickly day-by-day that we cannot keep up. Let alone keep track of what happened last week, last month or within the last year.
Who cares? Well I guess I do.

Every day I get thrilled, excited and greedy by what I find online. But then it disappears to page 2, 3, 4…
A year has (almost) gone by and I hardly even remember what our lives in 2012 looked like in color, design, prints, fashion, illustrations... because we are already looking out for the next big thing. Information, insights, beauty and memories get lost.

Therefor I work on a yearly overview of what made our visual lives in 2012.

Find it at www.visualtimecapsule.tumblr.com &#38; join me.

		<description>You probably seen this already, but I just cannot afford to not mention it in my weekspots since it is such a new and different movement.

"Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response (ASMR) is a term used to describe a sensory experience characterized by a tingling sensation in the head and scalp, which can be triggered by sounds like whispering or brushing, and visual stimulus like painting or drawing. On YouTube, the phenomenon inspired the creation of “whisperer” videos, in which people attempt to trigger the viewer’s ASMR by speaking in a soft voice and making various sounds with inanimate objects." Life is about celebrating, we believe. About building a timeline of great memories. Not just the big ones. Especially the small ones that surprise you and make your heart skip a beat.

nikoniko means ‘Say Cheese’ in Japanese. The name says it all. We work on concepts and products that naturally make you say cheese.
By ourselves, with others and hopefully soon with you…

We’d love to help you make other people smile.

Yesterday I ignored the rain and cold (autumn has come to the Netherlands) and visited Inside Design. It was nice to see some colorful, creative projects.

My personal favorites:

NOVEL HOSPITAL TOYS
Hikaru Imamura
&#60;img src="http://payload91.cargocollective.com/1/7/224107/4133310/17.JPG" width="612" height="612" width_o="612" height_o="612" src_o="http://payload91.cargocollective.com/1/7/224107/4133310/17_o.JPG" data-mid="21714627"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;
"‘Novel Hospital Toys’ is a toy set consisting of toy models of machines, such as CT, X-ray, ECHO(echocardiograph), ECG (electrocardiograph), as well as picture books of explaining machines. Every toy is made so as to give light or sounds so that children can easily imagine how these ‘strange’ machines work while they are playing with them in the waiting room. Their understanding will greatly help the hospital staff in performing medical examinations smoothly in children."

KASKAST
Marije van der Park &#38; Klavertje Vijf
&#60;img src="http://payload91.cargocollective.com/1/7/224107/4133310/12.JPG" width="612" height="612" width_o="612" height_o="612" src_o="http://payload91.cargocollective.com/1/7/224107/4133310/12_o.JPG" data-mid="21714267"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;

CMYK LAMP
Dennis Parren
&#60;img src="http://payload91.cargocollective.com/1/7/224107/4133310/16.JPG" width="612" height="612" width_o="612" height_o="612" src_o="http://payload91.cargocollective.com/1/7/224107/4133310/16_o.JPG" data-mid="21714599"  border="0" align="left"/&#62;
"Colorful mysteries of light
You can’t really say “that chair is red”. Actually, the chair is reflecting red light while absorbing green and blue light. It is light that colors the world. My CMYK lamp plays with the mystery of light and color casting an elusive network of lines of cyan, magenta and yellow light on the ceiling."
